Gumala are shifting from a model of delivering individual direct benefits to a model that provides collective benefits for the entire Membership.
We are now moving focus to support long-term sustainable programs that deliver social, economic, environmental and cultural benefits to Traditional Owners, as required by the Trust Deed.
We are looking to develop more initiatives like the successful Rangers and 3A Early Childhood programs, where we work with funding partners to deliver better outcomes for Traditional Owners.
Our greatest regret has been halting funding for education program that help families subsidise the cost of schooling up to $1,000 per child. This program is under review until we can develop alternative strategies that support children and young people in school.
